As everybody knows, nothing is eternal. "Tak ada yang abadi," says Peter Pan in their song. But people tend to make something to be memorized as long as it possible. So, this one is also one of my attempt to make some stupid writing I made on FB to be "eternal" here in my Multiply. The things I wrote below was something stupid. Stupidity is not something to be forgotten, but something to be memorized too, I guess. That's why this silly simple writing posted here so I can recall it someday in the future.
I have something stupid crossing my mind a few days ago. I thought each Batak should make a convention to make their own "bible", a book that contains the rules for their life rites. The book then is going to be the main reference for each Batak, for example, to hold a wedding party in accordance to the custom of each Batak.
So, there would be a "Kitab Adat Simalungun" that was validated by the Simalungun elders (or whatever). The book is then the main reference for Simalungun people to do rites. That also would be applied in the other Batak.
And once again, as I said in my first sentence of this status, this is something stupid.
The stupid thought was coming from some kind of simple observation that I made, though. The observation was happened during the CP I, two years ago, and during CP II, June-July this year. Some people would claimed that the wedding rites (according to the custom) they were doing is the right one, and the other were the false one. The places where the rites were held was also made the difference between how they doing this and that. That was the reason why I think there should be a "bible" which could be the main reference for people of each Batak. I thought it needs a long time to make the book, to make the convention so the book is acknowledged as the main reference. (And that makes me realize kanonisasi Alkitab was a long process.)The writing was posted as status update and comments here: https://www.facebook.com/vontho/posts/10150324038201620
